Advance Fleet Services is a growing fleet service and maintenance company located in central Birmingham, Alabama.
With decades of industry experience, we provide dependable repair and maintenance services for heavy-duty
equipment, commercial trailers, forklifts, and fleet vehicles.
As our customer base continues to grow, we’re looking for skilled and motivated Fleet Service Technicians to join

What You’ll Do:
- Perform DOT-compliant federal annual inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and repair ABS, brake, and wheel-end systems
- Perform tire changes, repairs, and related service
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and air systems
- Perform trailer body repairs and rebuilds based on experience and skill level
- Repair trailer doors, door panels, operators, and landing gear
- Install decals and complete other trailer repair and maintenance tasks
- Safely operate shop equipment, power tools, hand tools, forklifts, torches, and welding equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Accurately record labor, production time, and completed work
- Follow company safety procedures and quality standards
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of mechanical experience required
- Experience with heavy-duty equipment, trailers, fleet maintenance, or commercial vehicles preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Experience with brakes, ABS, wheel ends, electrical systems, and air systems preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to safely use a torch and welding equipment
- Ability to use a variety of power and hand tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Reliable, safety-minded, and detail-oriented
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
Pay & Schedule
- Competitive pay per hour, based on experience and skill level
- Full-time position
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
- Monday–Friday day shift
- Night and weekend work as needed
- Weekly pay
